Right, me and Seffers had a brainstorming session on Stage Fights on Saturday, and we're now clear where it's going, some changes have been made to the actor and scripts parameters, but you probably won't notice all that much difference. The big difference is that now you can assign writers to scripts. We decided that some scripts don't have writers as such, as they're just remakes of something else (e.g. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the Musical), so in that case, they are assigned to "producer". We will be adding a Producers table real soon (it's next on my to-do list, but it's late on Sunday night, so I'm going to leave it for a bit), and then there'll be even more room for everyone's creative juices.

There are going to be a few new admin sections to fill in over the next week or two.

In the meantime, though, the things we particularly need in the existing sections are more theatres, more 'classic' plays (i.e. stuff that would have been written early 20th century and earlier) and more female actors. So if you have an idle moment...

As Charlie says, you can now assign writers to particular plays through the scripts admin page. Try to keep the assigned scripts appropriate to the description of the writer. i.e. don't be afraid to assign a script to 'producer' if there doesn't seem to be a writer that matches the script. As you will see I've already put most of the scripts down as 'producer'. There were a couple of bugs that we'd found that has required this change to be made so the idea now is that as well as meeting writers (who will only offer their own plays) in the Hoxton bars you will also meet producers (who will offer any).

Not all the writers have scripts assigned to them yet. We'll put together a handy pop-up ready-reckoner in the next day or two so it'll be easy to see which writers have which plays assigned to them rather than having to cross-check between the two pages as it is in the moment. Once that's up if there are writers without plays, feel free to come up with some scripts specifically for those writers.
