For instance, last night, I was in the house with Kenny and Petee after a few beers and the choice of film to watch was the topic of discussion. Obviously, my choice was for some irreverent comedy or action to while away the evening. In wades kenny with the insistence that we watch some subtitled Hong Kong art house movie. So far, nothing wrong. I was outvoted and that is fair enough. But what really annoys me is that Kenny then promptly falls asleep within two minutes of the film starting.
This leads me to the conclusion that he didn't particularly want to watch the film but purely wanted to highlight his knowledge of world cinema and cultural superiority. Pretentious wanker that he is.
On a similiar vein, why is it that people always put piles of pretentious magazines in their loos? For instance, there is currently a stack of the london Review of books in the loo at Burnley Road. Why, I ask you? I'll tell you why, its because such people, like to make sure that any visitors know that they read it and to give the impression that they are highly intelligent. Wankers. |
