Any of you losers up for it this Friday? Work types welcome as long as they know the rules... |

Don't think I can, seeing shelley Friday, although she plays a lot as does her boyfriend. If it gets cancelled I'll play. |

I'm going to a Development Nepal soiree this friday so probably won't be back in time

I'm also going to the Development Nepal social, but I think poker afterwards could be fun (and possible). What time were you thinking of playing? |
From: Seffers | Date: 3rd April 2006 | Subject: Poker
Really? I was figuring we'd probably be last-tubing it back. |

Well Nepal is quite far away |

Maybe need to investigate with Chris, I thought maybe it would be a broadly sober affair. Either way, I was presuming that poker wouldn't be starting until about eleven anyway? Or is this one of those new-fangled "early-starting" poker nights? |
From: MANT | Date: 3rd April 2006 | Subject: Poker
You have to start early otherwise you end up playing till dawn. |

That's what we always used to do at university, though. Go out to the pub, and then when the pub had closed, head back and play poker until the small hours. Are we losing our appetite for hedonistic excess? |
From: Seffers | Date: 3rd April 2006 | Subject: Poker
Yes. Starting late will wipe me out for the rest of the weekend. Plus playing poker when half the participants are asleep or too drunk to know what's going on isn't much fun. |

You mean playing with a drunk Kenny... |
