Old Department Store
19 May 2005

From: GypsyBoy  |  Date: 19 May 2005  |  Subject: Old Department Store

I am trying to make my cubicle as much like a toyes as I can...

I have all my pens arranged, my chawker's library hardbak copy of Ulysses, my files, my Kerouac...

All I need are pictures of nameless models cut out of FHM.

My desk:
Wires snaking out from back and front of computer attached to headphones, and Flash drive respectively.
Several empty plastic cups (once full of tea) All other desk space covered with assorted print-outs and presentations, none of which I want or need, and should probably get around to throwing away.
1 comic by Neil Gaiman
1 novel by Bulgakov (The Heart of a Dog) recommended to me by my Russian colleague.
1 bottle extra strong chilli sauce
Keyboard and mouse both looking pretty dirty.
One mouse mat with instructions for "What makes a successful meeting with a fund manager" laminated on it.

I have a plastic cleaver blu tacked to my monitor. Various post its sticking here there and everywhere... A flyer for the librarians joke... A quote about the beat generation accidently printed out on company letterhead paper... A quote from jess on a piece of A5 printed in Arial Black ("I was worried you might have got stuck in bed with shards of broken morning stuck in your head") a printout from wikipedia about George Frederic Watts... Little book of calm at work... Programme of "Tristan and Isolde"... Headphones... Filofax

Fairly messy really.
